I was hit by a drunk driver which resulted in me losing my legs a couple of years ago. I have done extensive rehabilitation and got back upright and am now in a position where I run on funky running blades.
But sadly, during the time I was going through my rehabilitation, I was not able to get over to see my grandma who suffers from dementia. I couldn’t see her often, and now that I am able to see her, her dementia has progressed and sadly she no longer remembers me. It’s a horrible experience to go through and I would do everything to change it, which is why I’m fundraising for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
