Charities

We have more than 60 charities being officially represented at the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon, raising funds for vital causes.

Headline Charity Partner

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the charity leading the search for a cure for dementia, and we will not stop until we’ve found one. Through research, we will keep people connected to their families, their worlds and themselves for longer.

We stand for everyone affected by dementia. We stand for their families and loved ones. We stand for a cure.

National Charity Partners

We’re the only ones fighting over 200 cancers, including the 1 that matters most to you. Our life-saving work is funded entirely by the generosity of our supporters, so every step we make towards beating cancer relies on every pound, and every runner.

Thanks to our amazing supporters, survival rates across all forms of cancer have doubled in the last 40 years, but we can’t stop there. Our ambition is to accelerate progress and see three quarters of patients surviving cancer within the next 20 years.

There’s around 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and more than 360,000 are diagnosed every year.

At Macmillan, we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are our worries. We will move mountains to help you live life as fully as you can. And we don’t stop there. We’re going all out to find ever better ways to help people with cancer, helping to bring forward the day when everyone gets life-transforming support from day one.

Race for a reason and help us support everyone affected by cancer. Together, we can make a difference.

We are the UK’s leading kidney patient support charity, providing practical, financial, and emotional support for kidney patients and their families and campaigning to improve care services across the UK.

Everything we do is about ensuring that the patient voice is heard. From making a difference to health services and patient care to working in partnership to fund patient-centred research, we believe no one should face kidney disease alone.

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) is the charity for Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals dedicated to making patient care even better.

Thanks to our amazing supporters, Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals can provide a level of patient care beyond that which can be delivered by NHS funding alone. Charitable donations fund high-tech equipment, specialist staff, extra comforts and vital research to find potential cures and help save lives locally, nationally and worldwide.

The Charlie Waller Trust is a mental health charity that educates young people, and those who support them, about their wellbeing. It provides parents, carers, teachers, employers and young people with free training and resources. These are designed to break down the stigma surrounding mental health problems, arm people with the tools to take care of themselves and others, and encourage everyone to talk openly about mental health.

Local Charity Partners

Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre is the local sexual violence charity, offering specialist support to women and girls impacted by sexual violence. Our work is only possible thanks to our incredible supporters. Running with CRCC funds life-changing support at a time when more survivors are reaching out to us than ever.

CPSL Mind supports people with mental health problems across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire. Last year we provided direct mental health support to more than 4,300 local people.

Services include: crisis support, peer support groups, 121 support, community development, Good Mood cafes and mental health training. We promote positive wellbeing and campaign against the stigma faced by so many.

A small, family run, Cambridge based charity supporting people affected by cancer by providing donated gifts including breaks in holiday cottages; restaurant meals; hotel stays and tickets for attractions.

Every penny you raise goes directly to help us provide more gifts.

For every £100 you raise we can provide over £300 worth of gifts giving people ‘Something To Look Forward To’.
