Discover one of the UK’s most beautiful and iconic half marathon courses.
The TTP Cambridge Half Marathon route is a stunning 13.1-mile journey through the heart of one of the world’s most historic cities — blending racing with breathtaking views and unbeatable atmosphere.
You’ll pass by several iconic landmarks, including King’s College, Trinity College, Jesus College, St John’s College, the Fitzwilliam Museum, the Cambridge University Botanic Garden, the Orchard Tea Garden in Grantchester, and the River Cam. The route also takes runners through picturesque areas such as Grantchester and Trumpington, offering a scenic blend of urban and rural surroundings.

Drink Stations
There are five drink stations positioned at regular intervals along the course to help you stay hydrated from start to finish. Each station will provide water, with selected locations also offering High5 products. Drink station locations (approximate distances):

Toilets & Sanitary Facilities
Toilets will be available at each drink station along the route, as well as within the Event Village on Midsummer Common. All toilet areas include clearly marked women’s facilities, with sanitary products available.

Pacers
To help runners achieve their goals, selected start waves will include official pacers running at steady, consistent speeds. Pacers are easily identifiable by their flag backpacks, making them simple to spot on the course.
Whether you’re aiming for a specific finish time or just want help maintaining an even pace, running with a pacer can be a great way to stay on track.

Cut Off Times
The event has a cut off time of 3hrs 30mins from the time athletes pass over the start line, with the whole event cut off being 13:45. To enable us to meet the event cut off there are two on course cut off times which you need to hit:

With the final athletes expected to cross the start line at approximately 10:15, participants who maintain an average pace faster than 10:00 per kilometre will remain comfortably on schedule to complete the course within the cut-off.
Litter Drop Zones
To help keep the city clean and the course safe, designated litter drop zones will be in place along the course. Runners are asked to dispose of bottles, cups, and packaging within these areas.

Runner-friendly design
The course is designed with you in mind, with clearly marked miles and drinks stations, support every step of the way – from marshals and cheering crowds – and plenty of space for pacing groups and guide runners.

Fast, flat & UKA-Certified
This fully certified, 13.1 mile course is renowned for being flat and fast, with less than 320ft of elevation gain, making it ideal for setting a personal best or simply soaking up the atmosphere.

Closed & partially closed roads
Run safely and confidently on roads closed to traffic for the event. Enjoy clear, unobstructed paths so you can focus on your race.

Energy in Every Mile
To keep motivation high and the vibes even higher, the course features Charity Cheer Points — packed with positivity and encouragement — and Musical Hotspots — live bands, DJs, and entertainers creating an electric atmosphere as you progress around the route.

on-course Run Angels
Our on-course Run Angels are there for you as things are really getting tough. You'll see them around miles 10–11, where they will join you for short periods of your run. Whether you need a pep talk, a distraction, or just someone to run beside you for a moment. Look out for their friendly smiles and bright bibs — they’re there to get you through the hardest miles.

Support Along the Route
There are five water stations positioned across the course. Each water station includes toilets, with dedicated women’s facilities stocked with free sanitary products. There are additional water refill points available in the event village and along the route.
