About registration

How quickly does the event sell out?

Very quickly! In previous years, all public entries have sold out within just a few hours of release. To avoid missing out, we strongly recommend joining our mailing list for early access before entries go live to the public. Sign up here

When can I register for the event?

Public entries open in early August via our entry portal provider Let’sDoThis. However, if you're on our mailing list, you’ll get early access to registration — including the chance to secure your place at the lowest early bird prices. Entries are sold in tiered pricing bands, so the sooner you sign up, the better the value. Once a tier sells out, prices move up to the next. If entries sell out to the mailing list, there may be no Public sale.

What happens if I get injured after entering?

If you selected ‘Refund Protect’ when entering, you're covered under their terms — these override the standard event policy. You’ll need to follow their claims process directly. If you didn’t purchase Refund Protect, you may still be eligible for a partial refund or can transfer your entry to another person through the official process. Please note: Bib swapping is strictly prohibited. Anyone found running under someone else’s name will be removed from the results and will be barred from future events. For full details, please read our Terms & conditions.

Is there a waitlist?

We don’t operate a waitlist for the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon. However, you may still be able to secure a place by running for one of our official charity partners. Check out our charity entry options by visiting our Charity page.

Charity entrants

It’s easy to run for a good cause! Our official charity partners often have entries available before and after public entries sell out.

About the race

When will I get my race pack, and what’s inside?

Your race pack includes: Your race bib with the timing chip pre-attached (please don’t bend it) A bag drop tag for event-day storage You can choose to have your pack posted when you enter, or collect it in person from the event site on Friday or Saturday before race day. Please note: We’re unable to post race packs to non-UK addresses, so international entrants will need to collect theirs in person.

What is the race route like?

The Cambridge Half Marathon route is a UKA-certified 13.1-mile course, designed for speed and ideal for PB chasers. It’s famously flat, with less than 320ft of elevation gain across the entire course. The race takes place on a mix of closed and partially closed roads, guiding runners through the iconic grounds of St John’s, Trinity, King’s, and Jesus Colleges – offering a truly scenic and memorable run through the heart of historic Cambridge.

Where is the start and finish line?

Both the start and finish lines are located on Victoria Avenue. Runners will access the start and finish pens via the event site on Midsummer Common, with easy, well-signed loading areas for a smooth race-day experience.

How does the start work?

The race will begin in seeded waves, with the fastest runners setting off first. This helps ensure a smooth and safe start for all participants. You are assigned to your starting wave based on the estimated finish time you provide when you enter the event. Please note: the full start process can take up to 45 minutes from the first wave to the last. If you’re a VIP athlete, you’ll have access to a dedicated start channel for a more streamlined experience.

Is there a bag drop?

Yes — there will be a bag drop tent located on the event site, available for all registered runners. Please bring a zipped bag no larger than 40 x 20 x 25cm (roughly cabin bag size) containing only the items you wish to store during the race.

Will there be drink stations on the course?

Yes — there will be five drinks stations positioned along the route, plus water available at the finish line to help you rehydrate. We’ll confirm the exact locations and any additional items (such as nutrition or energy drinks) in the coming weeks. You’ll also find water bottle refill points in the event village area, so you can top up before or after your run.

Are there toilets available?

Yes — toilets will be located at the event site and at each drinks station along the course. Each toilet area will include women-only facilities, and all toilets on the course designated for women will be stocked with free sanitary products.

What do I get when I finish the race?

Once you cross the finish line, it’s time to celebrate! You’ll receive your finisher’s medal and a finisher bag containing your premium event t-shirt (unless you opted to donate a tree instead). After collecting your goodies, head to the massage tent where our team of therapists will be on hand to help kick-start your recovery with a well-earned post-race massage.

What’s the cut-off time for the race?

All runners have 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the course, measured from the moment you cross the start line. There will be a midpoint cut-off on the route. If you're behind the required pace at this stage, our team may ask you to move to the pavement for safety reasons. Please note: Runners behind the cut-off time will not be able to access the college sections in the later part of the course.

Can disabled athletes take part?

Absolutely. Wasserman Mass Participation is committed to creating an inclusive event where athletes of all abilities feel welcome and supported.

Wheelchair Entrants Wheelchair participants are welcome at the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon. As the event site is mostly grass, we provide a separate, tarmac-accessible route to the start line for wheelchair users.

To help us support you on race day, please let us know about your requirements by completing the medical details section of your entry form.

Athletes Requiring Assistance: If you have a visual impairment or require a guide runner or support person due to a disability or medical condition, please contact us in advance at info@cambridgehalfmarathon.com. We recommend that guides and athletes are clearly identified and safely linked together on the day. While guide dogs are welcome in the event village, they are not permitted on the race course.
