Pre-Launch
To be in with a chance to enter the Cambridge Half Marathon in 2027, you need to have pre-registered before Sunday 27 September 2026. Pre-registrants will be able to purchase VIP entries from 29 September 2026 and standard entries from 30 September 2026.
You can pre-register at: cambridgehalfmarathon.com/pre-register-for-2027
Participants must be at least 17 years old as at 14 March 2027.
If you deferred from a previous year, an entry link will be sent to you in early September 2026, ahead of general entries going on sale. You will need to confirm this entry by Sunday 27 September 2026.
Yes. You can add additional items by clicking the "Manage your registration" button in your Let's Do This confirmation email. Click continue at the bottom of the personal details page and you will reach the Add-Ons page.
Select the site you would like to use and, if you want more than one ticket, adjust the quantity in your basket.
Please note that tickets are per person, not per car. This is a special service; children under 5 travel free, but there are no other concessions.
Tickets are issued as a QR code, emailed to you individually at least a week before the event. If you have not received your code by then, please get in touch so we can resend it.
If you opt for collection, you must collect on either Friday 12 March (12:00–18:00) or Saturday 13 March (10:00–16:00). It is not possible to collect on race day, as we will be busy helping athletes whose posted Race Pack did not arrive.
If you cannot collect on the Friday or Saturday, please opt for postage. You can change this by clicking the "Manage your registration" button in your confirmation email before 16:00 on 4 February 2027. If you cannot find your confirmation email, we can resend it to you.
We can post Race Packs to any mainland UK address. We cannot post to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man, as the tight postage turnaround (2–3 weeks) means the pack would not arrive in time. If this affects you, please change the postal address to a mainland UK one if possible, or opt to collect if you will be in Cambridge in time. If neither option works for you, please contact Cambridge Half Marathon Support.
You can purchase Cambridge Half Marathon merchandise through the entry portal, in the Add-Ons section. Merchandise is also available to buy on the day at the Event Merchandise stand in the Event Village, subject to availability.
No, we do not keep a waiting list. Several of our charities still have places available and offer great support to help you get to the finish line. You can find all our official charities here.
If you are interested in Business Challenge entries, please contact us via Cambridge Half Marathon Support.
Entry Management
You can do this up until 16:00 on Thursday 4 February 2027 via our self-service portal. After this date, it is no longer possible to transfer your entry.
Out-of-system transfers are banned at the Cambridge Half Marathon. We encourage all runners to use the official process. Athletes without a valid race number — including anyone racing under someone else's name — will be asked to leave the course, and both parties will be banned from future events.
Certain entry types are not eligible for transfer, including:
- Charity Participants
- Business Challenge Participants
- Partner Entries
- Elite Entries
- Other entries deemed ineligible by the Organiser
Yes — it's important that your estimated time is correct, as your start time and wave are based on it.
If you're hoping to run with a friend, make sure you enter the same time; even a minute's difference can put you in a different wave.
If your estimated finish time has changed by more than 5 minutes since you entered, please update it via the "Manage your registration" button in your confirmation email. If you can't find your confirmation email, contact us and we can resend it.
If you're unable to run and would like to nominate another runner to take your place, please contact our customer service team, who will talk you through the process. The deadline to nominate a replacement runner is 31 July 2026.
We do not offer general deferrals for this event. However, if you are withdrawing due to pregnancy or IVF treatment, you can defer your entry for up to 3 years. Please contact Cambridge Half Marathon Support and we will arrange this for you.
You can change your address or estimated finish time via the "Manage your registration" button in your Let's Do This confirmation email. You can also switch to postage if you're no longer able to collect your Race Pack on the Friday or Saturday before the event.
This can only be done until 23:59 on 4 February 2027.
It is not possible to change your name or email address yourself — please contact us to update your email address. If you would like to give your entry to someone else, please use the official Transfer System (also found via "Manage your registration").
We offer a partial refund; how much you receive depends on your entry type and when you withdraw.
If you purchased Refund Protection, you can claim a full refund via the link at the bottom of your confirmation email, or here.
- Before 8 November 2026: 50% refund of your entry fee, plus any additional items purchased (e.g. Park and Ride tickets). If you purchased a VIP entry and we have already sent your VIP training top, your refund will be reduced by £10.
- Between 9 November 2026 and 4 February 2027: 25% refund of your entry fee, plus any additional items.
- After 4 February 2027: no refund is payable.
Certain entries — such as Charity or Business Challenge entries — are not refundable by us; please contact the organisation you obtained your entry through directly.
Please note that Booking Fees are not refundable.
Please contact Cambridge Half Marathon Support with your withdrawal request.
If you paid, at entry, for your registration to be refundable, please follow the link at the bottom of your Let's Do This confirmation email, or click here, to claim your refund. You can view the terms of cover here. Please note you will need to provide evidence of your reason for withdrawal.
Charity Entries
Once you have registered with your chosen charity, they will send you an entry link (via Let's Do This), which you must use to register with us for the event. Until you use that link, you do not have a confirmed entry. If your charity has not sent you a link, please contact them directly to request it. The final date to use a charity link is 16:00 on 4 February 2027.
If you have any issues, please get in touch, letting us know which charity you're registered with, and we'll try to help.
If you are a charity wishing to purchase entries, please contact us via Cambridge Half Marathon Support.
You can find more information about our charity programme here.
If you're looking for a charity to run for, see our official charities here.
Yes absolutely, when you go through the entry portal, you will have the option to set up a fundraising page. If you haven’t secured your entry through a charity there is no minimum fundraising requirement.
Race Packs
Your Race Pack will contain:
- Your race number, with timing chip attached.
- A numbered bag tag, to attach to your bag before dropping it at the Bag Storage Marquee.
If you have a medical condition, please write a clear "MC" on the front of your number, with details of the condition on the back.
Please remember to bring safety pins with you, so you can attach your race number to your shirt.
Race Packs are sent out in batches from approximately 2–3 weeks before the event, with the last few late charity entries sent on the Friday before the event.
If your pack does not arrive in time, or gets lost, please go to the Enquiries desk with photo ID and we will issue you a new number:
- Friday (12:00–18:00) or Saturday (10:00–16:00): the Enquiries desk is inside the Race Pack Collection Marquee.
- Sunday: Enquiries is a separate desk to the left of the VIP Marquee (next to Merchandise), open from 07:00.
Please note we cannot issue a replacement pack without photo ID.
You can switch to postage by clicking "Manage your registration" in your confirmation email and updating your selection before 16:00 on 4 February 2027. If you can't find your confirmation email, please contact us so we can resend it. Race Packs can be posted to any mainland UK address.

Event Day
We suggest you bring the following items with you:
- your race number, kept flat so the chip does not get bent. If you lose your race number, bring photo ID so we can issue a new one.
- bag Storage tag.
- safety pins, to attach your number to your top.
- a refillable water bottle.
- clothing to keep warm before and after the race — we will have Charity Clothing Drops in the start areas for you to discard old clothing.
If you are planning to use the Bag Storage Marquee, please keep your bag to hand-luggage size or smaller.
The event village and start is on Midsummer Common, CB5 8DJ (What3Words: ///middle.energy.handed).
If you live locally or are staying nearby, please walk or cycle to the event to help reduce traffic in the area. There is a secure bike park on-site, open throughout the event.
For those travelling by car, we offer a Park and Ride service; each bus drops you a short walk from the event village.
All participants need to be on the event site before the race starts, to ensure a smooth arrival.
The Event Village opens from 07:00, and the race starts at 09:30. We recommend arriving before the race starts, to ensure a smooth pre-race arrival.
In your Race Pack you will be given a tag to attach to your bag. If you have lost your bag tag, the team will have spares. Please keep your bag as small as possible — think airport hand luggage.
The large marquee, which opens at 08:00, is marked out in athlete number order. Please ensure your bag is ready to hand over, with label attached and no loose items, before you arrive, to reduce queues.
Please keep your race number on after you finish, as the Bag Storage team will need to match it against the bag you are collecting.
There will be a secure bike storage compound on-site during the event, including on-site security (What3Words: ///dwell.exam.nets).
Bike storage will be open from 07:30 and will close around 15:00. On arrival, you will be asked to write your race number on a sticker to attach to your bike. When you return, you will need to show your race number to match it against your bike.
Please do not lock your bike to the fence or racking.
Friday: 12:00–18:00, and Saturday: 10:00–16:00, located inside the Race Pack Collection Marquee (What3Words: ///buns.juror.crisp).
Sunday: 07:00–14:00, located outside the VIP Marquee (What3Words: ///sketch.thigh.lobby).
You will be sent an email detailing your individual race number and "To The Start" time approximately 3 weeks before the event. If you have not received any emails from us in the lead-up to the event, please get in touch.
Please read the Race Information, which will have details of important timings on race day, along with the most up-to-date map of the event site.
There will be announcements from the main stage as each start group is called into its Start Area, plus notifications on the big screen in front of the Start Gates.
There will be 3 guided group warm-ups from the Main Stage in the Event Village, at approximately 09:00, 09:30 and 09:40, but these may be subject to change.
Please listen for announcements from our commentary team.
If you'd rather warm up on your own, you can run along the river path away from the Event Village.
If you have a welfare issue — including a lost or found child, or an adult at risk — please speak to any Volunteer or member of staff, or head to the Enquiries Marquee on Midsummer Common, located in front of the VIP Marquee.
In the Event Village on Midsummer Common there will be:
- The Start Gates
- Main Stage — announcements and warm-ups
- Finish Area, with Athlete Medical and Massage tents
- Enquiries
- Baby Feed and Change area
- Event Merchandise
- Charity and Sponsor Expo
- Athlete Bag Storage
- Athlete Bike Storage
- Toilets
- Public First Aid
- Hot and cold food and drink vendors
Please note there is no parking on Midsummer Common on event day.
The event has a cut-off time of 3 hours 30 minutes from your specific start time, with the whole-event cut-off at 13:45, as the event will start in waves.
To meet the event cut-off, there are two on-course cut-off times you need to hit:
- 15.3km, Trumpington Road: by 13:00
- 18.5km, Silver Street Junction: by 13:30
If you are not past these points by these times, you will be asked to board the Event Minibus, which will bring you back to Midsummer Common.
There will be pacers on the course, identifiable by a pacer t-shirt and, in most cases, a flag. They will be pacing the following times:

Under England Athletics rules, you cannot wear headphones during the race, in the interest of athlete safety.
The only exception is bone-conducting headphones, which do not go in or cover the ears.
We are instructed to disqualify any athlete who breaks this rule.
Yes — there will be a specialist event medical company on-site for the duration of the event, with a team of medical practitioners and support vehicles around the course able to travel to any incident and transfer directly to hospital, should the need arise.
If, before, during or after the event, you feel you require medical care, please do not hesitate to contact an event marshal. Please note that if you require medical help you will need to stay in one place — if you decide to continue moving, we will not be able to assist.
There is also a public first aid unit in the Event Village, accessible from beside the stage.
If you would like to be considered as a Pacer for the 2027 event, please complete our Pacer Form before 30 September 2026. No applications can be accepted after this date.
All applicants will be notified by 30 November 2026.
We receive a lot of requests to join the pacing team, so please don't rely on this if you definitely want to run the event. If you are chosen as a pacer, your purchased place will be refunded to you or deferred.
